Another Battle

I literally just got off Youtube after watching this particular video with the intro saying that “reviewing products are for people with no lives”. Then it suddenly hit me. First, I reviewed products on this blog. Second, I have no life. It’s like the perfect fit.
So here I am, bestowing another review on products that I tested out for the last month. Another battle!! Yay me! haha.

Moisturizer.  Very essential to one’s daily routine. Need I say more?

Fair Warning:
We all have unique skin types.
The products I tested out may have different effects on everyone’s skin.

I have combination skin. The other parts of my skin can be mistaken as a frying pan (bc of it’s oiliness), and the other parts are as dry as the Sahara Desert.

PS: I couldn’t get a sample sized of the 2nd product. I just bought the smallest bottle there is.

First product!!
*drum roll pls*

Myra VitaSmooth Hydrating Moisturizer

This product claims…
  • To seal in skin’s natural moisture, making it more supple
  • To protect and nourish skin to help keep it healthy with a youthful glow
  • It is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested
  • It has a light and non greasy formula, making it ideal for daytime and nighttime use.

Pros:
  • Locally made. GO PHILIPPINES!!!
  • I can feel the moisturizing effect on my skin
  • When applied, I didn’t have any white patches on the dry parts of my face
  • Absorbed easily on my skin

Cons:
  • After 3 weeks of continuous (day and night), tiny bumps popped all over my face. The bumps disappeared though as soon as I stopped applying the product (with the help of Witch Hazel. Woot woot!)
  • No SPF
  • After approximately 2 hours of application, my face was a grease ball. My pores were very visible (even after I powdered my face).
  • The sachet was a unhygienic way of dispensing the product [my personal mistake for not purchasing the tube]

Would I repurchase it? Depends. Hahaha.

Second product..
*plays a cheering crowd noise*

Céleteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System

This product claims…
  • to hyydrate skin without the greasy after-feel
  • It is non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic and is fragrance-free
  • to seal in the skin’s moisture
  • to make skin soft, smooth and supple
  • It can be used everyday, even during hot summer days

Pros:
  • It is water based, which is perfecto for peeps with extremely oily skin (e.g. me)
  • Very lightweight. I felt like I had nothing on my skin.
  • Absorbed easily on skin.

Cons:
  • No SPF

Would I repurchase it? Depends, as well. Hahaha.

Nowwwwww, onto comparing the 2 products!

And for this battle, looks like Celeteque won! Woot woot!

So far, both are not my holy grail products. I’m still on the look out for the perfect moisturizer (if it even exists) that suits my skin. My life is a never ending search for products and I don’t think it’s ever gonna end.

[I have completely forgotten how much each product costs.]

Yet again, another disclaimer:
We all are blessed with unique skin types. The products I tried out will certainly have different effects to anybody.
(Yish, I know I said this earlier. Just a reminder)

If you’ve come this far, I thank thee v v much.

Have a nice day
(That’s an order that must be taken seriously!!)

Stay awesome!

The Battle of 2 Lip Tints

How ironic is it that my last blog post before this was one about me not using make up. But here I am, typing a blog post about make up products.
Anyways, tons have happened in between the months I posted that blog article. I now wear a full face of make up everyday to college bec I thought, “hey why spend my adolescence period looking tired all the time when there’s make up to make me look super awesome.”
Back to the topic at hand.
Due to my laziness and exceptional potential to be always rushing in the morning, (for some reason idk) I always have the least time to do my lips.
Praise whoever invented lip stains bec they are creations sent from above. Not only are they easy and fast to use, they also make it look like I’ve done a lot of work on my lips.
But much like everything else, I had to go through a lot of findings before discovering my holy grail lip tints (the search isn’t don’t yet btw). And there are 2 local brands that I’ve been trying out for the last 6 months.

Brand: Careline Jelly Lip and Cheek Tint

Price: Bought mine for PHP120. I have no clue if they’ve repriced it.
Where to buy: All leading drugstores and Watsons.

Pros:
  • Locally made (GO PHILIPPINES!!)
  • For PHP120, you get 10 ml of the product, which is a good amount for a reasonable price.
  • Very lovely shade of red
  • The tube container makes the amount of product you apply easily controllable
  • You can find it in any mall in the Philippines
  • Lightweight. Good for travel.

Cons:
  • Shades are limited
  • 2 hours after applying it on my lips, my lips seemed to have no trace of any lip product.

Would I repurchase? Probably. Yeah.

Next lip product……

Brand: KJM Lip and Cheek stain. Shade “Dolled”

Price: Php150 + shipping fee
Where to buy: Instagram or any online apps that sells stuffs in the Philippines (e.g. Carousel, Shopee)

Pros:
  • Locally made
  • For Php150, you get 10ml of tint, which is a reasonable and cheap price.
  • Tons of shades of choose from.
  • This tint literally stayed on my lips for 10 hours without reapplying. I remember eating dinner that day, watching a movie, going home and waking up with my lips looking fine asf (yeas, I did not wipe off my lip product that night for the sake of this review)
  • Very very very very very vibrant color.
  • Lightweight. Good for traveling.

Cons:

  • Unless you can find a reseller within your area, you’re going to have to have it shipped. Meaning you’ll have to add more cash for shipping.
  • The product is difficult to manage and dispense on the lips due to its roller container.
  • Can have a bit of a drying effect on the lips

Would I repurchase it? Heck yeah.

My personal comment if you’re planning on purchasing one: Because they have tons of shades to choose from, make sure you select the right shade for your complexion. Or better yet, rock all of their shades! You go girl.

Now onto comparing the 2 products.

(typo on the chart there! terribly sorry about that. it's KJM)

PS, we all have different opinions on things and here’s mine. I’m just being completely honest.
Our bodies all work differently. The products I tested may or may not have worked on you and that is perfectly fine.
Feel free to leave a comment.

Have a nice day!

Stay awesome!
